About the app
Cricket Companion is an Android app published by TechRex, a sole proprietorship of Gummadi Ramesh Babu based in Pandalapaka, Andhra Pradesh, India, that helps you score local cricket matches offline and, optionally, publish live scorecards and save player statistics online after signing in with Google.
Eligibility
You may use Cricket Companion only if you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Google Play in your country) and, for account-based features, if you have an eligible Google account you are authorised to use.
Guest mode and authenticated accounts
You may use offline scoring without any account. Online features — public match sharing, unique usernames, saved statistics and any cross-device continuity — are available only after you sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account you use to sign in.
Username, profile and identity rules
A claimed username belongs to one authenticated account at a time and must not be misleading, offensive, unlawful, impersonate another person, or infringe another party's rights. TechRex may reject, reset, rename or remove usernames, profile photos or account-facing content that violates these rules or is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the safety and integrity of the service.
Your responsibility for scoring content
You are responsible for the accuracy of match details, player names, ground names, scoring input and any commentary you enter, and for any content you choose to publish. Before publishing a match, review whether the player names, team names, ground and other visible details are appropriate to share publicly.
Public match sharing
When you publish a match, the app generates a public link and match code. Anyone with the link or code may view the published match, in real time, until you stop sharing or the match is otherwise removed. Viewers are granted read-only access and must not attempt to bypass product restrictions or misuse shared links. You may stop sharing a match at any time from the app.
Prohibited conduct
You must not (a) attempt to bypass authentication, sharing controls or product limits; (b) upload malware or unlawful content; (c) misuse public sharing to harass, defame or dox any individual; (d) scrape or republish published match data in a misleading way; (e) reverse-engineer the app except to the extent permitted by law; or (f) use Cricket Companion in violation of applicable law or Google Play policy.
Advertising and third-party services
The released app may include third-party advertising (for example, Google AdMob), Google Sign-In, cloud infrastructure, crash reporting and other technical services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. TechRex is not responsible for independent third-party services except to the extent we choose them to operate the app.
Availability, suspension and termination
We may update, suspend or discontinue any part of the app or its online features at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to online features (including the ability to publish matches or hold a username) where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users. Offline scoring on your device is not affected by such suspension unless you choose to uninstall the app.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cricket Companion is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TechRex will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising out of your use of the app; and our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the app will not exceed one hundred Indian Rupees (INR 100) or the amount you have paid for the app in the past twelve months, whichever is greater. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Match records are informational only
Cricket Companion is designed for casual, local and community cricket. Scores, ball-by-ball entries, statistics, scorecards and public match links produced by the app are informational only. They are not intended to serve as official league records, tournament results, sanctioned match reports, wagering records or legal evidence, and must not be relied on for any of those purposes. If a match is used for an official competition, the organiser is responsible for maintaining its own authoritative record; TechRex makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or availability of any match data captured through the app.
Statistics are for entertainment and personal reference only
Batting, bowling, fielding and career statistics, averages, strike rates, leaderboards, milestones, player profiles and any derived analytics shown in Cricket Companion are generated automatically from data manually entered by the scorer. They are provided for entertainment, personal record-keeping and informal comparison within your own cricket group only. They are not verified, audited, certified or authoritative reports, are not official player records, and carry no ranking, selection, valuation, professional or commercial standing of any kind. TechRex does not independently verify any scoring input and makes no representation or warranty that any statistic is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. Any decision you take on the basis of these statistics is taken solely at your own risk.
No betting, wagering, fantasy or real-money use
Cricket Companion is not a gambling, betting, wagering, fantasy-sports, prediction or real-money gaming service, and it offers no odds, stakes, prizes or monetary rewards. You must not use the app, its live match links, its commentary feed or its statistics to place, settle, verify, promote or facilitate any bet, wager, fantasy contest, prize contest or other real-money activity, or to supply data feeds to any such service. TechRex accepts no liability whatsoever for any financial loss, dispute or legal consequence arising from any such prohibited use, and may suspend or terminate access to online features where we reasonably believe the app is being used in this way.
Disputes about match results
Where a match result, individual score, dismissal or statistic is disputed, the match organiser, umpire or competition authority — not Cricket Companion or TechRex — is the final decision-maker. The app is a recording aid, not an adjudicator, and TechRex will not arbitrate, correct or certify any disputed result on behalf of any player, team or organiser.
Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Andhra Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence.
